After breakfast we start a visit of Casablanca if your flight land earlier than you may see the Hassan II Mosque and experience the coastal “Cornish” seaside. Afterwards, depart to Rabat, the capital of Morocco! and spend the night at your Riad. Evening we head into the old town for dinner.
After breakfast visit Hassan II Mosque, the Corniche, Mohammed V place, United Nations place, law court, the prefecture, central post office than departure for Rabat, arrival and historical guided visit: Kingdom Palace, Mausoleum of Mohammed V the grandfather and father of the present king are buried here, Hassan Mosque, a wonder of the medieval Moorish world with its great minaret left unfinished when its founder died in 1199 the Chellah necropolis, Kasbah Oudaya.
Continuing to the Imperial City of Meknes, the 16th century capital whose ruler, Moulay Ismail, modeled himself on France’s ‘Sun King’, Louis XIV.: historical guided visit of Meknès, and The Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Night in Fez.
All day devoted for visiting Fez, the oldest of the imperial cities, home to the world’s first university dating from the 9th century and one of the most complete medieval cities in existence, founded in 790 A.D. Seeming to exist somewhere between the Middle Ages and today, the Soul of Morocco stimulates the senses with its visual details, haunting sounds and rich aromas. Guided visit of medieval Medina, Karaouine University, Medersa Attarine, Kingdom Palace, Ben Denane synagogue, souks.
We start our journey over the Middle Atlas. Along the way the scenery becomes very alpine, nowhere more so that the picturesque town of Ifrane – the so called coldest town in Africa! This beautiful location is often likened to a Swiss Alpine resort. Along the way we also start to see our first glimpse of Morocco’s nomadic Berbers – travelling across the mountains and often staying in make shift tents as they head to their next destination.
Look out for the inquisitive resident Barbary Macaque monkeys as we pass through the cedar forests on our way to Midelt – the Apple capital of Morocco! Arriving late afternoon the remainder of the day is free to relax by the pool or take part in an optional walk in the local orchards.
Today we enjoy a scenic drive towards the Sahara. Stopping for a tasty Moroccan lunch before arriving into Merzouga. Depending on the time of year, spend the afternoon relaxing and swimming before climbing aboard our camels for an incredible trek into the Sahara Desert to watch a beautiful sunset and spend the night at our remote Berber Camp, nestled amongst the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. We enjoy local food, music and an amazing night camping in the Sahara.

Departing early, we ride back on camels disembarking for a truly stunning sunrise. After freshening up and breakfast in Merzouga we’re back on the road heading Todra and Dades Gorges. Todra Gorge is surrounded by towering vertical limestone cliffs reaching heights of 1000ft and is known as Morocco’s Grand Canyon. The charm of Todra lies in its changing colours as the sun slowly moves from east to west. There’s time to explore the gorge before we continue on to scenic Dades Gorge, where we spend the night.
After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. Then the roses valley and Skoura village. Continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO matrimonial historical site, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi ‘n’ tichka pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains. We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive views and visit the argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
After having a typical breakfast, you can start discovering Marrakech “the red city of Morocco”. We will ensure that you will see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadiens tombs, the Bahia Palace. After having lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks “traditional market” and explore hundreds of handicrafts. Afternoon, you will have some free time to look around by yourself the other parts of the city.
